Safe Sport Policy
The Safe Sport Policy of FIDA Canada Drone Soccer ensures the safety, respect, and integrity of all participants involved in the sport, including athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers. The policy outlines expectations for conduct, mechanisms for addressing issues, and strategies to foster a safe and supportive environment.
1. Safe Sport Statement
FIDA Canada Drone Soccer is committed to creating and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment where all individuals can participate without fear of harassment, abuse, or harm. Our Safe Sport Policy prioritizes the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of every participant.

3. Discipline and Complaints (with Investigations)
- Complaints Process: Complaints can be submitted in writing to the designated Safe Sport Officer. Complaints may involve issues such as breaches of the Code of Conduct, harassment, or other violations.
- Investigation Procedures: Investigations will be conducted impartially by an independent investigator or Safe Sport Officer. The process will include fact-finding interviews, evidence collection, and a detailed report.
- Outcomes: Based on findings, appropriate disciplinary actions may include warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans.
4. Appeals
Participants have the right to appeal disciplinary decisions.
- Grounds for Appeal: Appeals must be based on procedural errors, new evidence, or perceived bias in the initial decision-making process.
- Appeals Process: Appeals must be submitted in writing within 14 days of the decision. An independent appeals panel will review and issue a final decision.
5. Dispute Resolution
FIDA Canada promotes alternative dispute resolution to address conflicts amicably. Mediation or arbitration may be used before escalating to formal complaints or appeals processes. This approach fosters collaboration and minimizes adversarial outcomes.
6. Social Media
- Participants must use social media responsibly and avoid posts that could harm FIDA Canada, its participants, or the sport’s reputation.
- Harassment, hate speech, or the sharing of sensitive or private information online is prohibited.
- Violations will result in disciplinary action in accordance with this policy.
7. Screening
All coaches, officials, and volunteers in positions of trust must undergo mandatory screening, which may include:
- Criminal record checks (including vulnerable sector checks).
- Reference checks.
- Interviews to assess suitability.
Individuals failing to meet FIDA Canada’s screening criteria will be ineligible for participation in specific roles.
8. Athlete Protection Guidelines
